Experience Disrupters want to transform our lives at CES 2020

Every year, CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is the world’s gathering place where inventors and innovators debut their latest breakthroughs. As innovator, it’s natural that we would go there and learn as well as getting inspired.

In 2020, we saw a noticeable shift from tech gimmicks to more digital transformation and innovation with purpose. Mindful, sustainable, connected technology created for one reason: to supercharge experiences that bring value in our lives..

As in 2019, exhibitors displayed incremental evolution, as opposed to radical advancement, so our initial impressions were underwhelming. However, it quickly became clear. Tech is getting real and moving a way from its playful almost. gimmicky space. Bridging the gap between the future and the “right now” and solving for the issues we care about: health & wellness, growth, security, relationships, entertainment, and the planet.

The usual tech suspects weren't the only stars of the show in 2020. Courageous consumer brands came ready to walk the tech walk:

• Delivering amazingly enhanced customer experience like Delta Airlines.

• Understanding you don't need to be plugged into a power outlet to enter the innovation hall of fame like Impossible Foods.

• Open to having a little fun with tech like P&G.

What did all these examples have in common? These and other businesses exhibited some form of tech applied to solve for real, universal human needs by creating disruptive experiences with purpose.
